My name is Svenja Simon-Marshall. I am the mother of two very smart, funny, and creative kids and the wife of an extremely patient man. We have three cats and if you follow my blog you shall see that I am quite fond of them. Because of my husband’s job we live sort of a vagabond life, moving at least every couple of years, picking up great friends on the way and learning all about different people and cultures.
I have always loved cooking, baking, creating and experimenting, and it’s no surprise that my husband would come home to 3 different versions of Angel Food cake to see which recipe was the best. Sadly, I already forgot which one won, and it’s time to bake again. May-be this time I blog about it
Besides my family (cats included of course) and trying to be creative, I feel quite passionate about living “greenish”. In my definition, “greenish” means to live as environmentally as practically possible, without sacrificing your toilet paper for corn cobs. Yes, we drive a mid-sized SUV to pull “Stella”, our camper, but I also wash and reuse plastic food storage bags. Anyway, that would be greenish living.
If you follow my blog, you will find recipes, craft ideas and ways to reuse old material by turning them into something new. You will read about me pulling old furniture out of the neighbor’s trash, growing a pumpkin plant from a seed in my kitchen and turning my husband’s button down shirt into cat toys… So many things to write about and so little time, but I will get to it, I promise…
Thank you for visiting my blog! I hope you enjoy it and that you will find things here and there that inspire you. Please, feel free to leave comments or send pictures of your creations. I would love to hear from you!
